Easy Homemade Croutons

These Homemade Croutons are easy and very budget friendly especially if you have bread that is going stale. This is the best way to make good use of that bread that's going stale on you.

Crouton Recipe


4 cups bread, cubed

⅓ cup margarine, melted

¼ tsp. garlic powder

¼ tsp. salt

¼ tsp. parsley flakes

¼ tsp. Worcestershire sauce


Cube sliced bread. Melt margarine and combine with garlic, salt, parsley and Worcestershire sauce. Pour over bread cubes and combine well. Spread single layer on a half sheet pan. Bake at 325°F for an hour, or until light brown. Stir several times during baking to ensure even browning. Remove from the oven, letting them cool down before putting them in an air tight container.


Note

A great way to use up stale bread.
